This preamplifier, with separate power supply, uses the ECC 40, which is one of our favorite tubes.
You will appreciate the musicality and timbre in a line stage preamplifier. Also, it uses a 76 tube that is for us, a natural, musical and transparent sounding tube, but is difficult to apply due to microphonics.
The solution to the problem of microphonics was to use of moveable and independent extend plates and dampers. –Destination Audio
